"I think this is where fashion is going next. Simple. We've gotten so extravagant with our layers, denial jewelry and McQueen's 12 inch heels that the only place for everything to go next is simple."

Burberry Children's Fall/Winter 2010

Was anyone else aware that Burberry made children's clothes?  And not only that, but apparently they're one of the most well-known names in children's fashion?  You learn something new everyday, I suppose.

It's not really surprising that the line is dope.  Some of the pieces are a little much for my tastes, but the coats, jackets, and trenches (!) are pretty solid.

This cabled mockneck is no bullshit either:

It'll be a few years before Alex can wear any of it, but I think I'll start hoarding stuff now.  Some of this stuff is too hot not to.

Mark Morrison - "Return Of The Mack"

Man, this takes me back.

It's one of those things that's so bad that it's good.  I can just feel it burrowing it's way into my brain so it can stay there for a week or so.

Chromeo - "Don't Turn The Lights On"

Check out this video for the single "Don't Turn The Lights On" from Chromeo's new album Business Casual that was released last week.

I feel like it loses it's charm a little early on and you wish they would do something new, but it's still fully enjoyable.  I actually prefer the video for (and the song, now that I mention it) "Night By Night" quite a bit more.  I'm not really sure why, but there's something kind of sexy about it.

Either way, I'm sure the album is pretty dance-worthy.  That's just what they do.

Mayer Hawthorne - "Your Easy Lovin' Ain't Pleasin' Nothin'"

Summer is officially over and this video is enough to make you mourn it (assuming you weren't already). I bet this was a blast to shoot.

Dude's got a modern day Buddy Holly thing going on.

Also, he's on tour with my personal hero Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) as his opener.  Awesome?  Indeed.

Hello?

This is another track by one of my crush objects, DJ Sosupersam.  It's smooth as fuck.  No other way to really describe it.

Raquel Welch, circa 1969

Man, they don't make them like this anymore...

Gap Toggle Coat

I was really shocked and excited to see that this toggle coat was made by Gap.  I wept for the beautiful return of designer Patrick Robinson's eye for style.  Then I saw that tag that said "Europe only"...

Who's pissed?  This guy.

Ritano Wingtip Boots

I just bought these.  They are dope.  Gotta love Urban Outfitters.

I'm not sure why, but I'm all about a wingtip this year.

(500) Days Of Weezy

This is from earlier in the summer, so a lot of you may have already seen this elsewhere, but it's still so amazing to me every time I hear it.  (500) Days Of Weezy is a mash-up album that mixes the soundtrack to the movie (500) Days Of Summer, which includes songs from Regina Spektor, The Smiths, and Doves among others, with Lil' Wayne versus. I'm not particularly a Lil' Wayne fan, but this album puts such a fresh spin on both sets of songs that it's just too intriguing to ignore.  My personal favorite is probably "Lollipop Dreams" or "Here Comes Your Milli".

You can listen to the entire album below or download it here.

The Black Cab Sessions

The Black Cab Sessions is a series of one song, one take performances by musicians and a handful of poets while riding in the back of a British cab as it drives through London.  Quite the genius premise, really.  They tend to only get indie artists, most of which are pretty obscure, but they do have a couple of more recognizable acts as well, namely Spoon and Death Cab For Cutie.

I particularly enjoy Lissie's session where she covers Lionel Richie's "Hello"
