Wolverine 1000 Year Addison Boots

These are sooo fly.

Watch out boys, she'll chew you up...

Fact:  I love Hall & Oates way more than someone who wasn't alive to have a John Oates-style jheri curl mullet and consider it a solid style decision ever should.

...And check out that sweet 'stache.

Every time I hear "Maneater", my day immediately gets a few hundred times better.  That's why I was beyond excited when I found out about Interpreting the Masters Volume 1: A Tribute To Daryl Hall and John Oates, a cover album by The Bird and the Bee that gives an extra touch of charm to the band's already fantastic catalog.  Listen:

The Bird and The Bee - I Can't Go For That by FelipeLuno

And for good measure, watch this.  I dare you to try not clapping along by the time the second chorus comes around.  Classic.

G.O.O.D. Fridays

For those of you who aren't aware, Kanye West has announced that he will release a new song from either himself or someone else on his label (which includes the likes of Jay-Z) from his Twitter account (@kanyewest) every Friday until Christmas.

The plot thickens!

Along with today's track, another song featuring Jay-Z, Kanye announced that he and Jay are releasing a 5 track album together. Ba-na-nas.

Here's today's track, Kanye West's "Monster" featuring Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, and (no bullshit) Bon Iver.

Download.

Chloé Children’s Wear: Fall-Winter 2010/2011

As I mentioned before, my brother is having a son and I'm taking charge of dressing the kid.  I've been perusing a lot of kids lines and, unsurprisingly, found that just like in adult fashions, girls get a lot more love than boys.

This line is amazing. It's a little upsetting that you don't see kids dressed this well all the time...

Christain Louboutin's Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

My friend Jacob over at Friends, Fashion, & Food put me on to these.  I couldn't pull them off, but they are definitely (to quote Kanye West) "so ultra Travolta" (people should start saying that).

It just makes sense that if Christian Louboutin was gonna make men's shoes, they'd be completely different.  And completely fly.  And about $2500.

Cee-Lo - F**k You

This video has been blowing up on music blogs over the last couple of days.  It's new from Cee-Lo Green, most notably of Gnarls Barkley fame.  It feels a little asinine to put a disclaimer on a song called "Fuck You", but whatever.

Warning: This may come as a shock, but this song joyously uses the word "fuck", like, 40 times.

I really love how hatefully upbeat this song is.  Here's to hoping the rest of the album is as good.

M.I.A. - "Born Free"

This video is cuckoo bananas.

WARNING: Shit gets live.

M.I.A, Born Free from ROMAIN-GAVRAS on Vimeo.

And if you haven't heard her new album yet, you should.

Donald Glover

This man is officially my new hero.

You may recognize Donald Glover as that guy from Derrick Comedy, makers of the "Bro Rape" sketch (if not, do yourself a favor and check out the link) or from his role on NBCs "Community".  He also wrote for 30 Rock fresh out of NYU, wrote and starred in a movie called The Mystery Team, and does some pretty hilarious stand up.

Oh yeah, he's also a rapper--and a dope one at that.  Think Drake with less cameos, a less underwhelming album, and an admittedly weird voice and moniker.  You can check out Childish Gambino's (told you so) album "Culdesac" here.

Got This Money (Runner Mix) UNMASTERED by Childish Gambino

And on top of that, the dude's got some serious style.

Do I have a man crush?  Maybe.  But what can I say, I appreciate talented people and this dude's got the Midas touch.

Stella McCartney for Gap Kids

For those of you who are unaware, my brother is having a baby boy in December and I've already decided that I'm going to assume control over little baby Alex's (the name I've decided on, nevermind what they want) wardrobe.  Naturally, I decided to peruse Stella McCartney's line for Gap Kids since I work for Gap.

Some of these pieces are so hot, I wish they came in my size.

Of course, the line has been discontinued, but Stella is said to be working on a second line that was due out this past May, so who knows.

She & Him - "In The Sun"

So I have a crush on Zooey Deschanel.  Who doesn't?  I mean come on, those eyes are impossibly blue.

She & Him - In The Sun from Merge Records on Vimeo.

The wink at 2:18 is what really kills me.  Freakin' darling as shit.

Terry Richardson

This is Terry Richardson.

Terry is an acclaimed fashion photographer and general deviant who specializes in shock and awe photography.

When you hire Terry Richardson, you expect to get something provocative (and if you don't, you're in for a rude awakening).

Everyone lines up to hire him because, whether you love him or hate him, he's gonna make people talk.  His ads for Sisley are some of my favs.

You can’t give your photograph soul with technique. I want my photos to be fresh and urgent. A good photograph should be a call to arms. It should say, ‘Fucking now. The time is ripe. Come on.'

I feel like another swing revival is overdue.  Why did people stop dressing like this?  So damn classy.

This is gonna be me in another 10 or 15 years.  All day, everyday.  Quote me.

Hurley

For those of you who don't know, that's a picture of Jorge Garcia, better known as Hurley from the tv show "Lost".  This is also the album cover for Weezer's new album, titled Hurley.

Apparently Rivers Cuomo took this picture with him, cropped himself out of it and thought that it would be a great album cover.  He then decided that the picture was so amazing that he didn't even want an album title or the band name on the cover because he didn't want to ruin the picture.

Yeah.

All I can say is, let's just hope this album is better than their last 2...

Mustard covers "Creep"

This is a video I stumble on a while back of a homeless guy doing an acoustic cover of Radiohead's "Creep" for the Opie & Anthony Show.  What makes this awesome?  Well, the cover is pretty sweet.  Also, the homeless guy has a sweet beard and his name is Mustard.  You're welcome.

Cruel Summer Mixtape

Samantha over at So Super Sam is a generally dope chick.  Not only does she have a really cool blog, but she also DJs(!) and is kinda really adorable, which of course means that I have developed a massive crush on her.  Check out her Cruel Summer Mixtape.  It's a great companion piece to your now flatlining summer.

See?  Adorable.

Vans Era Wingtips

These are fucking dope.  But sadly, I can't find them anywhere because they're from Vans Fall/Winter 09 collection.

Christina Hendricks

I love Mad Men. It has become an obsession of mine for a couple of reasons. It has great drama, the style is bananas, and most importantly, it has one of my newest crush objects, Ms. Christina Hendricks.

She's great for a couple of reasons.  She's talented, she's...smart...

...um, she's stylish, she...uh...

Who am I kidding?  She's fucking stacked.  'Nuff said.

Janelle Monáe - "Cold War"

The music blogosphere is going bananas over this video and it's easy to see why. There is something really beautiful and haunting about it that it's hard to put your finger on.

Every time I see her break down, it hits really close to home. No clue why.

Mozella - "Stay"

Ever since I first heard this song at work, it's crept into my brain and refused to get out.

Thank You and You're Welcome

Hello Hello Hello!

So, this is my first post.  I guess I'll start by saying thank you for coming by!

This blog is most likely going to serve as a dumping ground for all the random things that I'm into.  That's all I can promise for now.

Check back periodically to see what I come up with.  And don't worry, you won't be disappointed.  I like dope shit.
